Combined with ESAB PAPR the Savage A40 Air delivers uncompromising protective performance for all welding activities. The PAPR system provides user-selectable airflow control to deliver TH2-level filtration performance for fine particulates.

The welding experience is further enhanced with Savage A40's state-of-the art ADF light filtration, offering True Colour viewing of the weld pool and full user-adjustable controls for shade, delay and sensitivity. An easy-to-access grind mode button allows fast switching between grinding and welding. The Savage A40 Air checks all the boxes for the serious and professional welder.

It provides extraordinary breathability too with the advanced PAPR system, which has three air flow adjustments ranging from 170 to 230 liters per minute to flow. It delivers top-notch filtration, too, removing 99.9% of fine particles in the air during routine welding.

Plus, it has a 1/1/1/2 optical-class lens made with our ultra-clear, true-colour technology. You’ll get increased weld pool clarity, enhanced definition – and a bigger, better view of your weld.

With Savage A40 PAPR system, the sensitivity and delay controls inside the helmet allow for seamless setting adjustments. And Savage A40’s four light sensors provide a faster auto-darkening response, especially when working out of position. With the high-capacity, rechargeable battery, you can even work for up to 8 hours between charging.
 
Wild External Features Make it Easy to Use.
The Savage A40 is designed to be functional for any welder. You can adjust the welding shade or tap into grind mode from the side of the helmet. This ensures you can keep your helmet on and down for the ultimate protection. And with its DIN 9–13 adjustment knob, it’s easy to change shades, even while wearing heavy gloves. Simple to use and adjust – it’s Savage.
